if I sit in this place.

I made this book when I first came to England in 2004.

It was a scary time walking into the unknown. The figure represented myself wondering how things moved when I felt unable to move. Yet, the days pass, the moon wanes and waxes, and things do change.

The lino print appeared on each front page, like a starting point to my contemplation, as I pondered how to move forward when I felt so lost.

There’s another story happening simultaneously on the opposite pages. It’s from a children’s story that I wrote about a girl named Tranay Delaunay.
